At Lagrue Bayou Duck Camp, we are dedicated to providing self-guided duck hunts for hunters of all experience levels. Located in the heart of Stuttgart, Arkansas, we aim to create unforgettable outdoor experiences that connect you with nature and the thrill of the hunt. Our hunts take place across 4 properties that host around 8 hunting locations with 6 blinds. When guests arrive on either a 2 or 3 day hunt, they will be shown 3 hunting locations so that the guests can move each day to have a fresh hunting location. Each location is hunted 20 times or less per year on average to allow rest between hunts.
What to expect:
When arriving expect to get in touch with the contact point provided so they can meet you in person the afternoon you arrive. They will personally take you around the properties and show you how to access them and where to hunt. If you are hunting 2 days, you will be shown 2 properties and 2 blinds (you do not have to hunt in the blinds if you do not want to) if you are hunting 3 days you will be shown 3 properties and 3 blinds.
What's included:
What's included is a hunt for up to 8 people and a private lodge that sleeps 8 people. Decoys, hunt location, and lodging is provided. The rest of the trip is self-guided and will be handled by the guest.
All the properties we host are walk-in accessible only so no boats or ATV's are needed. We have them developed to where vehicles can get you close enough to the blind to provide an easy walk in. We leave 3+ dozen decoys in each blind so the main things we recommend bringing are waders, gun, shells, calls, and motion decoys.

Here at lagrue bayou duck camp we strive to offer an affordable option to hunt flooded timber patches while still trying to manage rest for the birds to offer as successful of a hunt as we can. Each blind is hunted on average less than 20 days per season to keep hunting pressure down some. We hope to provide everyone with a successful hunting experience but at the end of the day, birds are wild migratory waterfowl and have a mind of their own. Many things will play a part in the success of your hunt such as weather conditions, current bird numbers in the area, hunting pressure in the area at the time of your hunt, the skill of the hunters in the blind, and the shooting capabilities of the hunters. Most groups that come hunt with us have decent success and leave with at least some good handfuls of birds. From time to time, we do have days where no birds are harvested (Not very often) but we also have days where groups harvest their full limits. There is a wide range of birds killed on the self-guided hunts that include but is not limited to Mallards, Gadwall, wood ducks, green wing teal, Spoonbill, ringneck, pintail, widgeon, specks, and snow geese. Hunting in Stuttgart, AR gives you a waterfowl rich environment. There are normally plenty of birds around and even if the hunting is slow one day, a move to a new property the next day will give you a whole new opportunity as opposed to other self-guided options that normally put you in the same blind for every hunt.
